Salt Air: Experience New American Seafood Delights in Rehoboth Beach

I visited Salt Air on a recent trip to Rehoboth and highly recommend it. Their customer service is unmatched; the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. You really feel taken care of. The wait, on what seemed to be a busy night, was long - over an hour. However, they allow a wait-list and notified me via text when a table was ready. Once seated, our waiter took great care in asking about dietary restrictions and laying out the specials. I recommend the seafood gumbo, which is excellent. Overall, the atmosphere was nice and I would eat here again!

Salt Air is a breath of fresh air. My daughter and I had a mid afternoon dinner and it was excellent. We were celebrating her admittance to Harvard to complete her masters & PHD. The atmosphere, the food, the service, our waiter All on point, 100% we will be back. Oh our waiter personally made the lemonade, that was the best I have had in a very long time. The crab cakes & asparagus was excellent. Thanks once again.

I would give 5 for food but it didn't seem that cozy and the mashed potatoes didn't taste like true mashed potatoes just plain white..no chives no pizzazz. Your close enough to hear everyone conversation around you. I spent 200 on a date. It was an experience.

Fantastic food, service and atmosphere. We always appreciate a vegan option on the menu and the crispy oyster mushrooms over roasted eggplant was amazing. Highly recommend Salt Air. Beautiful interior and wonderful service.

Beautiful restaurant, wonderful service, excellent food. Great date night spot. 3/5 - Crab deviled eggs Really disappointing, the only underwhelming item of the night. The yolk filling was a dry, thick, under-salted paste. Definitely needed more mayonnaise/vinegar/pickle juice to give it flavor and make it less dense and more creamy. 5/5 - Seafood stew Fantastic rich, flavorful, herbaceous broth and perfectly cooked seafood (including shrimp, which is hard to do, especially in a hot soup). Crusty bread was delightful. Absolute must-try! 5/5 - Crispy skin rockfish Perfectly crispy skin and flaky, juicy fish. The pureed ramps were amazingly seasoned and the fresh, vinegar zing of the pickled ramps were an excellent addition. Another must-try! Very skilled and knowledgeable bartenders and impressive cocktail offerings.

The highlight of our dinner was the charbroiled oysters! They were outstanding, The flavors added were very smooth and did not overpower the taste of the Oyster.. We also had the special rock fish which was done perfectly and complimented with the appropriate vegetables , crab and sauce. In addition, we had seafood gumbo soup, which was spot on delicious with perfect spices. They offer a Variety of wines, which paired very well with any meal that you would get. Additionally, my husband is a European beer drinker and they had selections that met anybody’s pallet. He enjoyed four different types of beer.. Most important was our server, Noah. He was very attentive, provided details of the specials, and offer us insight information to the menu select selections. Our apologies, we did not take any pictures. You’ll have to try this beautiful restaurant for yourself. Compliments to the chef! He is outstanding! Scott and Celeste.

Charbroiled Oysters were a huge highlight here!!!!!!! Thank you Alex for taking care of me and my partner Friday. We came for our anniversary and even though we walked in an hour before closing, with no reservation, and had a full three course meal plus drinks.. you did it with a smile and with pleasure!!!! That made us so happy. Sad we didn't have a chance to visit before leaving but we will be back! AMAZING dessert cocktails! The Crispy Skin Rockfish was also very good! - HOPE TO SEE YOU SOON!

Went with a group of friends and tried a few different entrées. The chicken was very good as well as the salads and rockfish special. Service was quick and attentive and the place was packed on Saturday so reservations are a must. Jose our waiter was great. Overall a very good experience.
